  • In her workshop on Storytelling for Social Impact, Kasha Sequoia Slavner shares lessons she’s learned about the practice of storytelling and its potential for social impact in her 10 years of experience as a documentary filmmaker. The workshop delves into the principles and ethics of equitable storytelling, inviting the audience into deep inquiry about the media's role in mobilizing action for social justice, and environmental justice.

A Gen-Z’s Guide To Creating Social Change

  • Since 2017, In conjunction with screenings of The Sunrise Storyteller, Kasha has led peer-to-peer workshops to empower youth participation in action towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. A Gen-Z’s Guide to Creating Social Change is currently available to high school, university students, camps and community based organizations.

    The workshop, available in both 60 and 90-minute format, is designed to help participants discover their unique talents and skills in order to develop a greater understanding of the crucial role they can play in their local or global communities. Through the workshop, participants develop an action plan for a social change, and increase their confidence in their ability to make a difference.
